Brother Sewing Machines Europe GmbH (BSME) was founded in 2009 and is part of Brother International Ltd. located in Japan. BSME headquarters are based in Bad Vilbel and takes care of Sales across Europe.

IT Specialist (m/f/d) full time 37,5 h/week

Temporary contract for 1 year - with the option for prolongation

We're looking for an experienced IT specialist to maintain the computer and communication systems of the company & to support our employees - physically in Germany and remotely for other European countries - in terms of IT.

• Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
• Troubleshooting concerning system and network problems, diagnosis and solving hardware/software errors
• Providing support including procedural documentation Supporting
• Repairing and upgrading different types of computers, software and hardware
• IT support and training for BSME employees

Person specification – essential experience & other requirements:

• Fluent in German as well as English communication.
• Proven experience in resolving technical issues of PCs and servers (preferably 2 years or more).
• Good knowledge of MS Office and relevant software used by BSME employees.
• Ability to systematically troubleshoot complex IT related problems.
• Good experience concerning the following topics/tools: -> Custom Service skills, Ticket system (Jira), Remote tools, VPN, Exchange, Azure, Office365, Sharepoint, OneDrive, Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac, Regedit, DOS tools, Basic Networking, Basic Troubleshooting.

Person specification – abilities:

• Flexibility and ability to multitask and to prioritise work to meet deadlines and targets.
• Ability to work on one's own initiative, subject to management guideline and managers' instructions.

You'll be based in our European OneIT Team. The role is office-based at our headquarters in Bad Vilbel with the possibility of one mobile work day per week.
