Arbeitsbeschreibung - Legal, Compliance and Risk Manager (m/f/d)

We are seeking an experienced Legal, Compliance and Risk Manager (m/f/d) to manage and further develop our compliance strategies in order to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements across our international organization. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the management of our software licence agreements and other legal documents in close cooperation with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Your responsibilities in the field of compliance / quality management / GDPR:

Act as the sole advisor and sparring partner for the Management / CEO for our German and international entities on all compliance-related issues
Manage and coordinate our internal quality management and prepare audit and certification processes (ISO 9001, 27001, GxP) in close cooperation with our external QM service provider
Ensure GDPR compliance in cooperation with our external data protection officer, further develop policies and processes
Steer and monitor the implementation of the company's environmental, social and governance strategy (ESG) and ensure the regular reporting of actions required
Establish a proactive risk management system to identify, analyze and mitigate compliance gaps and liability risks

Essential legal functions / contract management:

Coordinate the entire international management of our software licence agreements (SaaS model) including the implementation of contract management tools to enhance and further develop our processes
Provide legal and commercial advice across departments (e.g. Sales, QM, Finance, Software Development) and act as an interface in this area
Participate in the negotiation of contracts and other legal documents
Strategically manage and engage external counsel on legal matters, in Germany as well as English-speaking countries
Identify potential risks in contracts and legal documents, develop action plans to minimize risks and foster a culture of compliance and risk management

Degree in (Business) Law, Business Administration, or a related field
5-7 years of professional experience in compliance, quality management or legal operations, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical technology, or other regulated branches
Proficiency in quality management systems (ISO or other)
Proven knowledge of IT law (software licence agreements) and strong understanding of corporate governance, compliance regulations, and contract management
Project management and organizational skills, as well as strong communication skills for the successful cooperation across teams
Business fluent in German and English with international working experience
