Arbeitsbeschreibung - Leiter Kommunikation Europa (w/m/d)

Vulcan Energie Ressourcen is a German-Australian energy and resource company pioneering sustainable lithium production in the Upper Rhine Valley. Our goal is to enable a sustainable battery supply chain for Europe by combining deep geothermal energy with lithium extraction – all with a net zero carbon footprint.

As part of our dynamic growth across Europe, we’re looking for you to join us as Communications Lead Europe(m/f/d) in a full-time position (40 hours per week) at our Karlsruhe office. In this role, you will strategically shape our public communications, lead a team, and develop our communications strategy. You will play a key part in sharing our vision of a climate-neutral energy future with the world.
  • You develop strong media relationships in Germany and Europe and secure positive, high-impact coverage.
  • You are the go-to person for media inquiries, coordinating interviews and preparing talking points.
  • You spot opportunities in the news cycle and help shape how Vulcan is seen and understood.
  • You lead communication support for regulatory reporting (FSE) and assist with ASX announcements and reports.
  • You drive communications across digital channels, including social media and web content for the German market.
  • You support our presence at events and build our voice through consistent, strategic messaging.
  • You have more than 10 years of experience in media relations, corporate communications, or public affairs.
  • You hold a degree in communications, marketing, or media.
  • You have experience in leading teams and managing communication projects.
  • You are fluent in German and have a very good command of English; additional languages are welcome.
  • You can communicate complex content clearly, precisely, and appropriately for the target audience.
  • You have experience in media relations as well as in regulatory communication.
  • You work in a structured manner, remain confident under pressure, and communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Flexible working hours and possibility for mobile working by arrangement.
  • 30 days vacation (based on a 5-day week).
