Licence Support Manager (m/w/d)

In the role of a License Support Manager (m/f/d) you are responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of license agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, and providing support to internal and external stakeholders regarding license-related inquiries. This includes ensuring that customers are adhering to the terms of their licenses and checking for potential overuse of licensed products. The role involves liaising with clients and internal teams to maintain efficient and effective management of licenses, ensuring the company’s licensing obligations are met, and identifying opportunities for optimization.

• Oversee and manage the full lifecycle of licenses, from procurement to renewals and terminations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all active licenses and associated agreements.
• Monitor compliance with license terms and conditions, ensuring timely renewals and identifying potential discrepancies.
• Conduct regular audits of customers' license usage to ensure they are not exceeding their paid allocations.
• Identify and report instances where customers are using more licenses than they have purchased, and address these issues with the relevant teams or directly with the customer.
• Act as the primary point of contact for license-related inquiries from clients and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to software and intellectual property licensing.

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, IT, law, or a related field.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in license management, procurement, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of software licensing agreements, intellectual property rights, and contract management.
• Experience with license management tools and software asset management (SAM) solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with database management tools.
• Very good written and spoken German and English (min. language level C1).
