Arbeitsbeschreibung - Manager Controlling (w/m/d)

We are looking for a Manager Controlling (f/m/d) to immediately join the finance department at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management. The job posting covers typical range of activities of a controller and is aimed at talented people (f/m/d) with an affinity for numbers and data and a strong inclination towards analytical and conceptual problem solving.
  • Development and optimization of data analyses, dashboards and reports to support data-driven decisions
  • Use and further development of digital solutions for the area of controlling, e.g. setting up and maintaining information systems such as PowerBI, data warehouses and preferably AI to control operational processes
  • Carrying out deviation analyses, forecasts and budget planning
  • Support in the digitalization and automation of controlling processes
  • Close cooperation with cost center managers and decision-makers as well as advice on the definition of university goals and KPIs
  • Successfully completed university degree in economics, business informatics or comparable qualifications
  • Confident use of MS Office, ideally knowledge of programming languages such as Python and experienced in dealing with AI
  • Sound knowledge of controlling, data analysis and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, SQL)
  • Several years of professional experience in controlling, data analytics is desirable
  • Experience in dealing with large amounts of data and analytical technologies
  • High affinity for numbers and strong analytical skills as well as strong communication skills
  • Independent and forward-looking way of working
  • Ability to work in a team and very good communication skills in German and English
