Arbeitsbeschreibung - Mechatronics Hardware Engineer (Robotics / Defense) (m/w/d)

Your mission

Design and build electro-mechanical subsystems (e.g. gimbals, turret mounts, UAV modules)
Dimension all electrical interfaces: cables, fuses, connectors, power budgets
Assemble and test power/sensor hardware (DC/DC converters, EMI filters, surge protection)
Deliver mechanical + electrical build documentation for production and maintenance
Train our internal team on hardware assembly and troubleshooting
Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams during integration
Support field deployments, fix issues on-site, and improve robustness

Your profile

Strong background in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or similar
Hands-on experience building and testing physical hardware (not just CAD)
Knowledge in electrical systems: low-voltage design, cable sizing, fuse selection
Skilled in mechanical CAD (e.g. SolidWorks, NX) incl. DFM & assembly design
Comfortable with soldering, crimping, harnessing, and basic diagnostics
Experience with field testing and debugging under real-world conditions
Able to create clear documentation and instructions for others
Fast, pragmatic, and focused on shipping reliable solutions
