Payroll Specialist (m/w/d) Midijob

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Payroll Specialist to take full ownership of our payroll processes on a Midijob basis. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate, timely, and audit-proof execution of all payroll-related tasks. You will act as our go-to expert for everything related to salary and compensation.

• You independently handle the monthly payroll processing in DATEV Lohn & Gehalt for all employment types (permanent employees, working students, mini-jobbers, midi-jobbers, and freelancers)
• You maintain and review all master data relevant to payroll and onboard new employees in the system
• You process entries, exits, and contract changes, ensuring correct implementation of bonuses and special payments
• You prepare and send all mandatory reports to health insurance providers and social security institutions
• You handle the review and recording of sick leave notifications.
• You manage all tasks related to occupational pension schemes (bAV) in coordination with our bAV tool

• You ensure all payroll processes remain legally compliant and audit-ready, even when employment laws change. You also manage audits from pension or social insurance authorities when required
  You serve as a patient and knowledgeable point of contact for our employees when it comes to payroll-related questions

• You have several years of hands-on experience in independently managing payroll – not just in a preparatory role
• You are proficient in using DATEV Lohn & Gehalt
• You have solid knowledge of payroll tax law, labor law, and social security regulations, and are familiar with various employment types
• You work in a structured, precise, and responsible manner
• You communicate in a friendly, clear, and empathetic way
• You are fluent in German (business proficient) and have strong English skills

• You are available to work from our Munich office one day per week
