Pilot:in für unbemannte Luftfahrzeuge (UAS) (m/w/d) für Langstreckeneinsätze im BVLOS-Bereich

BioConsult SH (www.bioconsult-sh.de) headquartered in Husum on the North Sea coast, is a team of scientists specializing in ecological research and consulting since 1998. 
Our Remote Sensing Department has a strong track record in digital aerial surveys for environmental monitoring. We are now entering a new phase of innovation: alongside our established digital aerial environmental monitoring, we are integrating long-range fixed-wing UASs into our operations, enabling efficient and large-scale monitoring in marine and coastal ecosystems. To support this exciting development, we are looking for a dedicated and skilled Unmanned Aircraft Pilot (UAS Pilot) specializing in long-range operations for environmental monitoring (civil-only operations).•    Operating Primoco One-150 UAVs, including for digital monitoring flights (BVLOS)
•    Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, including SORA for BVLOS flights
•    Plan and execute flight missions in coastal and marine environments within the civilian airspace with related very high responsibility for safe operations
•    Serve as radio contact in controlled civilian airspace
•    Coordinate with drone manufacturers, partners, and authoritiesMinimum Requirements
•    Proven experience operating aircrafts (manned/unmanned) in civilian airspace
•    Willingness to attend mandatory pilot training for Primoco One-150 UAV (minimum 5 weeks) in Prague, Czech Republic
•    Willingness to travel, including weekend operations (high flexibility in working hours depending on scheduled missions)
•    High professionality to ensure safe operations in civilian airspace
•    Conversational fluency in German and English (Proof of ICAO English Level 4 or higher)
•    Physical ability to lift 30 kg unaided or 50 kg with assistance
•    Base of operations will be in northern Germany
•    Valid B-type driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications
•    Valid A1/A2/A3 drone certificate
•    Completed training or academic background in manned aviation or aviation law 
•    Familiarity with BVLOS and SORA procedures within European airspace
•    Valid radio licence (e.g. AZF, BZF, OR)
•    Experience with CAA communication (e.g. LBA)•    Involvement in cutting-edge projects that combine aviation and nature conservation
•    Engagement possible based on employment or freelance contract
