Principal Change Advisor - Contractor Opportunity

A large, international organization is undergoing a major enterprise-wide transformation. To support this effort, we are seeking a Principal Change Advisor to partner with Prosci in leading the design and implementation of change management at the program level. This is a strategic, high-impact opportunity for an experienced change leader with a strong command of the Prosci methodology and a proven track record in complex, multinational environments.
 
Key Responsibilities

Lead Change Management Initiatives

• Establish and lead a change management workstream within a large-scale transformation program.
• Apply Prosci methodology across multiple interdependent projects.
• Coach and support senior leaders and executives in their change leadership roles.
• Design and implement communication strategies to ensure clarity and engagement at all levels.
• Address cultural transformation needs and foster a positive sense of urgency.
• Navigate organizational complexity and political dynamics to remove blockers and align stakeholders.
• Ensure a structured handover to internal personnel for long-term sustainability.

Strategic Advisory & Capability Building

• Facilitate strategic workshops with leadership to align on change goals and approaches.
• Develop frameworks to embed change capability across the organization.
• Identify opportunities to deepen engagement and ensure consistent messaging and governance.

Internal Collaboration & Reporting

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between change management and program goals.
• Provide insights and reporting to support program governance and decision-making.

We are looking for an individual based in the Netherlands with the following skills and experience: 
 
Experience

• Extensive experience in change management within large, complex, and international organizations.
• Proven application of Prosci methodology in enterprise-level programs.
• Experience working with C-level executives, senior stakeholders, and unions.
• Background in production and service-oriented industries; energy sector experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated success in leading cultural change and optimization initiatives.

Skills

• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Ability to connect the dots and understand complex organizational environments.
• Political acumen to identify hidden agendas and anticipate resistance.
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and standard consultancy tools.
• Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent business experience.
• Prosci Change Management Certification (ECM) required.
• Professional maturity and executive presence.
