Product Designer Rumania / Germany

The IT Service Management (ITSM) industry is centered on how organizations design, deliver, manage, and continuously improve their IT services. Its primary goal is to ensure that IT systems operate efficiently and reliably, aligning with business objectives and supporting day-to-day operations. ITSM encompasses a wide range of processes, including managing technical support requests, overseeing system updates, and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures. In essence, it’s the behind-the-scenes framework that keeps a company’s technology infrastructure—its computers, networks, and applications—running smoothly and securely. ​This position can be filled either on a freelance basis or as a fixed-term employment for one year.

As a Product Designer at Matrix42, you’ll be an equal partner in the PM/Tech/Design trio, co-owning product discovery and delivery. You’ll be key to making sure what we build is:

• Valuable – customers want it

• Usable – customers can use it

• Feasible – we can build it

• Viable – it works for the business

You’ll also:

• Collaborate closely with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders to translate user needs into meaningful, user-centered design solutions

• Conduct research and usability testing to validate ideas and iterate quickly

• Deliver wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that meet accessibility and usability standards

• Help evolve our design system and ensure design consistency across our products

• Actively participate in agile rituals like design sprints, story mapping, and reviews

• 5+ years of experience in UX/UI/Product Design with a solid portfolio that demonstrates your process and results

• Deep experience conducting user research and turning insights into design decision

• Strong visual and interaction design skills, especially for enterprise-grade applications

• Fluency with modern design tools, primarily Figma

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills—you speak both design and dev

• Solid technical understanding—you know how to design within constraints

• English fluent; German is a plus
