We build open-source software that makes confidential computing scalable. Confidential computing is a white-hot security technology that keeps data encrypted even during processing. It has many exciting applications and many believe that the entire cloud will eventually become "confidential". We're a VC-backed and engineering-driven company. We're an expanding team of ~20 highly knowledgeable and skilled individuals. We're headquartered in Bochum, Germany, a place with a vibrant and thriving cybersecurity community. Join us in our offices in Bochum or Berlin, or work remotely.
Our productOur flagship product is called Constellation. It's a standalone Kubernetes distribution that keeps entire clusters always encrypted and shielded from the infrastructure. Constellation works on all major clouds. It enables companies to move sensitive workloads from on-prem to the public cloud and much more.
Our tech stackMost of our code is written in Go, runs inside AMD SEV or Intel TDX, communicates via attested gRPC and is scaled with Kubernetes. Sometimes, we also use Rust or C++. We use Sigstore to protect the integrity of our software. Everything runs on Linux. We build custom Linux images based on mkosi.
Azure is our default cloud, but we also use Google Cloud and AWS. Our code and CI are on GitHub.As part of our team, you'll work on different components and different layers of our products. Most of your work will revolve around Kubernetes, confidential computing, and cybersecurity. Typical tasks include:
- Design and implementation of security-related in-cluster services
- Design and implementation of user-facing features in the CLI
- Design and implementation of Day-2 and HA features
- CI/CD automation with a focus on supply-chain security
- Documentation
- Prototyping of new ideas
We are looking for team members who…
- are excited about the challenges of a fast-paced, innovative software startup environment
- have several years of relevant work experience
- are experienced in writing code for Kubernetes and other cloud-native tools
- are experienced in professional agile software-development practices
- are highly motivated and have high expectations of your own performance; you are used to working independently
Bonus points if you...
- are interested in public speaking or writing articles about your work
- have experience working with confidential computing technologies (Intel SGX, AMD SEV etc.)
- Competitive compensation (salary and stock options)
- Flexible working arrangements—remote or in our offices in Bochum and Berlin
- Exciting tasks in a dynamic environment
- Opportunity to grow in a great team
We will respond to suitable applications as soon as possible to arrange a video interview in which we would like to introduce ourselves, get to know you and ask you a few technical questions.
