Arbeitsbeschreibung - Senior DevOps Engineer (m/w/d)

You lead and architect the operation of our managed software platform across Azure and customer environments, establishing operational standards and best practices
You own and evolve our Infrastructure as Code strategy, including the modernization of our Terraform and Helm codebases, implementing advanced deployment patterns and security controls
You spearhead automation initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving the implementation of new technologies and methodologies
You serve as a key technical leader in our Information Security strategy, architecting secure infrastructure patterns and ensuring compliance with security requirements across our platform
You design and implement Azure reference architectures, focusing on scalability, resilience, and security while optimizing operational costs
You collaborate with development teams as a technical advisor, providing infrastructure design guidance and mentoring on cloud-native best practices
You establish and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity processes, ensuring high availability of critical systems

You have a degree in computer science or comparable; alternatively a equivalent practical experience
You bring 4-6 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering and cloud architecture, with a strong background in modern DevOps practices
You demonstrate deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code, particularly with Terraform at scale, and advanced knowledge of Kubernetes/Helm in production environments
You have extensive experience architecting and managing complex cloud infrastructure, with particular depth in Azure and its enterprise features
You possess advanced knowledge of CI/CD practices and GitLab, including pipeline optimization, security scanning, and advanced deployment strategies
You have implemented and maintained security controls in cloud environments, including identity management, network security, and compliance monitoring
You have excellent communication skills in both English and German (minimum B2 in both languages, C1 and above are very strongly preferred)
You have experience mentoring junior engineers and driving technical decisions in cross-functional teams
You demonstrate strong architectural thinking and can balance technical debt, business requirements, and innovation
You have a track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing efficient, scalable solutions
You stay current with cloud-native technologies and security best practices, evaluating their potential impact on our infrastructure
You must have the legal right to work and reside within the European Union
