What you will do:
- Manage setup and support of foreign entities: Drive the financial aspects of global expansion, including entity setup, intercompany transactions, and local compliance.
- Ensure tax compliance and strategy: Ensure adherence to all relevant tax regulations and optimize tax structures for both domestic and international operations in close collaboration with tax experts from our shareholder.
- Drive aspects of accounting with expertise in local GAAP (HGB) and IFRS: demonstrable in-depth knowledge and practical application along with experience in applying group accounting policies to manage and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures: Create scalable Finance processes that support our rapid growth while maintaining effective internal controls.
- Contribute to financial reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to financial planning and analysis: Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Provide financial insights and support to business units, product teams, and senior leadership.
Who you are:
- You have a strong understanding of financial principles and best practices in finance roles, ideally in fast-growing, international companies.
- You possess a proven track record in accounting and tax management.
- You have experience with the setup and support of foreign entities, navigating international financial complexities.
- You have a hands-on mentality and are eager to dive into the details to get things done effectively.
- You're a strong communicator who can explain complex financial concepts to both financial and non-financial audiences at various levels.
- Crucially, you are proactive, detail-oriented, yet pragmatic, and excited to build and shape finance in a dynamic startup environment.
- You are open-minded and interested in accounting-related projects, e.g. implementation of e-invoicing or AI-based processes and efficiency improvement.
- You're fluent in English and German (minimum C1).
- Ideally, you have an audit background, worked for a Big4 company, and/or an experience in a startup/scale-up
