Senior Finance Manager (m/f/d) in Quantum Computing Start-Up

In our dynamic deep-tech environment, you will take full ownership of building and scaling our finance function - from accounting and controlling to budgeting and cash flow management. • Take the lead in expanding and shaping our finance department, implementing new and improving existing processes
• Manage our finance and budgeting software (Finway), oversee approval workflows, and monitor all incoming and outgoing payments
• Support our fundraising efforts by creating and updating business plans and financial presentations
• Internal Accounting:
  • Independently prepare annual budgets, reports, financial calculations, and statistics for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide C-Level with ongoing cash flow monitoring and liquidity forecasts
  • Deliver in-depth reports and analyses to support decision-making within the framework of internal controlling
• External Accounting:
  • Manage the full financial accounting process in close collaboration with our external tax advisors
  • Assist with the timely preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB, and support the preparation of annual tax filings and financial reporting

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Taxation, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a start-up environment
• Strong expertise in preparing internal financial analyses and reports (controlling) as well as hands-on experience in day-to-day bookkeeping
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel (ideally including VBA), financial tools like Finway (or similar), and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI is a plus
• Strong hands-on mentality with the ability to independently dive deep into complex financial issues and contribute actively to their resolution
• Analytical mindset, strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, high self-motivation, commitment, and a strong affinity for numbers

• Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken)
