Senior Software Engineer (UAV / UAS / Drone) (m_f_d)

As a leading operator of long-range drones (BVLOS) in Germany and Europe, Beagle Systems focuses on innovation. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (m_f_d) to join our team in Hamburg.

In this role, you will be responsible for software development on different type of UAVs, implementing cutting edge features and contributing significantly to the  success  of our innovative projects.

• Responsible for flight control software stack, embedded systems and firmware level driver design, development and maintenance 

• Responsible for documentation development of flight control firmware

• Participate in design and development of other embedded software

• Participate in development of related software tools and testing framework

• Education: Telecommunications Engineering, Embedded Software Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a similar field

• Experience: 

  • Proficient user of Github/Bitbucket (please provide your username in the application)

  • Experienced in embedded development for UAVs

  • Knowledgeable about basic flight control algorithms

  • Skilled with open-source flight control software stacks and ROS (or an Ardupilot/PX4 Contributor)

  • 3 years of work experience

• Technical Skills: 

  • Embedded applications development on micro-chip/ARM/DSP platforms

  • STM32 micro-chip software programming

  • Proficient in C/C++, Python, with solid software engineering foundations

  • Familiarity with FreeRTOS, Nuttx, RT-thread, Chibios, and other real-time operating systems (one or more)

  • Mastery of system bus interfaces (USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, SDIO, etc.) and basic hardware skills

  • Cross-compilation environment expertise and familiarity with typical Linux system calls and application development

• Soft Skills:
