Arbeitsbeschreibung - Software Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d)


  • Ensure compliance with RTCA DO-178C guidelines throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop and review software quality plans, verification test plans, and traceability matrices.
  • Perform software audits and process assessments to ensure adherence to certification requirements.
  • Define and execute verification and validation (V&V) activities at various software assurance levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve software quality issues and improve processes.
  • Support in managing problem reports and corrective actions to address anomalies and defects.
  • Support FAA, EASA, ANAC, JCAB and other certification authorities by providing documentation and technical justifications.
  • Support in improving our process landscape to ensure development of certifiable and high quality software.
  • Ensure proper configuration management of software artifacts, including architecture, source code, test cases, and documentation.
  • Provide training and guidance on DO-178C compliance and best practices to engineering teams.
  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • You bring 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, focusing on DO-178C compliance.
  • You understand software development for safety-critical systems and have experience with verification tools (SIL/HIL).
  • You’re proficient in programming (C, C++, Python) and scripting for test automation.
  • You have strong knowledge of software configuration management tools (Git, SVN, ClearCase, or similar). Experience with requirement management tools (Visure, DOORS, Jama, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • You excel in documentation and generating high-quality certification artifacts.
  • Certification as an Internal Quality Auditor for AS9100 or ISO 9001 is a plus.
