Arbeitsbeschreibung - Subject Matter Expert Leasing Contract Accounting

Your Mission

As a Subject Matter Expert in Leasing Contract Accounting, you are the key expert for all accounting‑related topics in leasing and financial services projects.
You will guide projects end-to-end - from requirements gathering and functional design to testing and go‑live support - ensuring that contract structures, posting logic, and valuations are implemented correctly and in compliance with IFRS/IAS and local GAAP.
Your role combines deep contract accounting expertise with hands-on experience in CMS / leasing back‑office systems such as Sofico MILES, Nestol, VTXRM, or comparable platforms. You will advise both business and project teams on best practices, functional setups, and accounting compliance.

Your Profile

Proven experience as a Contract Accounting SME in the leasing or financial services industry
Hands‑on experience with CMS systems (e.g., Sofico MILES, Nestol, VTXRM, or similar leasing systems)
Strong knowledge of IFRS/IAS standards (especially IFRS 16) and local GAAP
Experience across the full project lifecycle: requirements, functional design, testing, go-live support
Deep understanding of contract structures, booking logic, and valuation models
Expertise in requirements engineering, functional design, and documentation
Excellent consulting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style
Fluent in English; German is a plus

Your Responsibilities

Act as Subject Matter Expert for Contract Accounting in CMS/leasing system implementation projects
Analyze, gather, and structure functional requirements from business and accounting teams
Translate business requirements into functional concepts and system specifications
Define, validate, and document posting and valuation logic for leasing contracts
Support end-to-end testing, including test case definition, execution, and verification
Advise project teams and business departments on accounting principles, best practices, and system capabilities
Ensure compliance with IFRS/IAS and local GAAP in all functional designs
Prepare and maintain functional documentation (concepts, test scenarios, user guidelines)
Provide functional go-live and post-go-live support
Communicate status, risks, and progress to stakeholders
Manage ad‑hoc requests related to contract accounting topics

Nice to Have

Experience in Captive Financial Services or Automotive Financial Services
Hands-on experience in Sofico MILES implementation projects
Experience collaborating with international accounting and project teams
