Sustainability Project Manager GHG Emissions Calculation

This is why the Carbon Footprint improvement team of experts are looking forward to welcome you as a Sustainability Project Manager – GHG Emissions Calculation in a permanent full-time position at Meo headquarters in Cologne. Your main duties will be:

• You will be responsible for consulting projects with a focus on renewable fuels and energy, including biofuels, biomethane, eFuels, renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBOs) and SAF. Other topics of interest are circular economy, bioeconomy, plastic waste and recycling, chemical products and many more
• You will develop customized greenhouse gas calculations for entire supply chains applying different tools and standards
• You will perform data research, analysis and evaluations for specific customer requests and the preparation of reports and market studies
• You will perform in-depth analyses and benchmarks of different governmental regulations on GHG accounting for the aforementioned markets and support transmission into certification systems
• You will implement the concepts and processes together with our customers
• You will support the further development of our service portfolio and manage proposals and tenders
• You will be responsible for the whole project lifecycle including scheduling, stakeholder management, documentation, controlling, participation in client meetings and project workshops
• You will perform company presentations at public national and international events

• University degree in environmental management, sustainability, chemistry, energy management, economics, engineering, resource management, natural sciences, or other related fields
• At least 2 years of professional experience after graduation in the relevant fields
• Proven working experience in either greenhouse gas calculations (RED methodology, GHG Protocol or similar standards) or sustainability certification after graduation or both
• Experience in the areas of life cycle assessment, EU regulations and policy consulting are of advantage 
• Very good communication skills in English (at least C1) and German (at least B2) both written and spoken, other languages of advantage
• Very good presentation skills and the ability to prepare professional presentations for different audiences
• Good and proven writing skills with regards to proposals, project documentation and reporting
• Comfortable and good client interfacing skills, effectively communicating complex issues in simple and clear terms, while also building strong relationships 
• High degree of initiative and commitment combined with an independent working style and pragmatic, hands-on attitude
• Very good computer and MS Office skills as well as high general IT proficiency 
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally (non-regular)
