Werkstudent Testlabor / Testing Lab (w/m/d)

We, at Sono Motors, are a motivated small team dedicated to the successful market launch of solar products. As part of our vehicle integration team, which develops and validates the integration of solar components in vehicle applications, you will be responsible for our in-house testing. Your tasks in our team will include:

• Test the upcoming versions of our components such as PV Modules, Charge Controllers and Telematic Units
• Perform mechanical and thermomechanical tests such as peel-, pull- and shear adhesion tests on our inhouse pulltester machine
• Perform reliability tests, such as damp heat, thermal cycling or humidity freeze tests in our inhouse climate chamber
• Complete the test series by creating the relevant documentation
• Assist the engineering team by interpreting and presenting the results and observations to them

• You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Renewable Energies or a related field
• You are at least in the 3rd semester
• Engineering background and interest on mechanical engineering and material science, ideally polymers 
• Analytical and problem-solving skills as well as hands-on mentality, and the ability to work independently
• Fluent in English; German proficiency is advantageous
• You have a proactive attitude and sustainability values are important to you
