Arbeitsbeschreibung - Working Student DevOps

Assist in the development, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure using platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Azure.
Collaborate with software development teams to automate build, test, and deployment processes using CI/CD GitHub Actions, Flux CD and ArgoCD.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of production environments, using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Cloudwatch
Contribute to the development and improvement of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Participate in the creation and maintenance of documentation related to infrastructure, processes, and best practices.
Support automation of routine tasks to improve system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Support the implementation of security best practices and compliance requirements.
Continuously learn and apply new DevOps tools and technologies to enhance the team's capabilities.

Required:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their services.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.

Preferred:

Some experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
Experience with Kubernetes or other orchestration tools.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Cloudwatch, Loki, …).
Interest in security and implementing best practices for DevOps.
