Research Engineer Digitalization of Power Grid (m/f/d) ISM Team

• Design and implement signal processing, embedded systems, and smart sensors for power equipment condition monitoring.
• Develop and deploy system architectures for power equipment failure detection.
• Implement accelerated signal processing solutions for enhanced system performance.
• Develop wireless smart sensor nodes to support advanced monitoring systems.
• Design instrumentation software and assist in experimental verification measurements.

• Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in signal processing, data analysis, embedded systems, and electronics.
• Strong expertise in measurement system integration testing and working with typical lab instruments.
• Experience in PCB-level hardware design is a plus.
• Proficiency in hardware programming (VHDL, Verilog).
• Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, MATLAB; experience in collaborative coding and version control (GitHub/GitLab) is a plus.
• Hands-on approach, problem-solving mindset, and strong teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in English; fluency in German
