Research Manager for Research Funding (gn*)

The Research Funding Management team supports and accompanies the application and management of externally funded projects - from individual projects to collaborative projects. We are looking for a consultant for national, European and international research funding to start as soon as possible.
The position is advertised on a full-time and permanent basis.

• The content-related exploration, preparation and targeted internal notification of current national European and international research programmes
• Providing strategic advice to KLU researchers on national and international research proposals
• Support with contract preparation and the financial development and management of projects
• Networking with other internal service areas (e.g. Accounting, HR) and the funding organisations/project sponsors
• Supporting the university management in the implementation of the research strategy
• Conception and realisation of target group-specific information and training events
• Participation in events and networking with potential public and private sponsors

• A university degree (Diplom univ. / Master) in science management or a comparable degree programme, preferably related to at least one of the research topics at KLU, a doctorate is an advantage
• Experience in proposal counselling, i.e. in advising on content and calculating budgets for project proposals
• Very good knowledge of the national, European and international research funding landscape
• Professional experience as a research officer or project manager, as well as good knowledge of university structures and administration
• Experience in the acquisition and management of research projects with national and / or international funding
• Ability to work in a structured and conceptual manner, strong communication and teamwork skills, committed and independent working style, organisational skills, high service orientation
• Fluent in written and spoken German and English
