Research Scientist PROTEIN SCIENCE (gn)

- Contribution to multidisciplinary teams with own scientific expertise to achieve corporate and customer goals of challenging drug discovery projects ​
- Independent planning and execution of research projects also including review of scientific literature ​
- Planning, development, implementation and optimization of protein production workflows ​
- Characterization of challenging proteins by state of the art biochemical and biophysical methods ​
- Preparation of relevant project documentation (i.e. project plans, SOPs, scientific presentations, technical reports) ​
- Presentation of the scientific results as well as convincing and confident communication of the content to colleagues, customers and business partners- PhD in protein biochemistry or related field with an excellent track record
- Strong acquaintance with regard to rational construct design, protein expression (bacterial, insect, mammalian), chromatographic purification techniques, purification process optimization and protein characterization methods ​
- Profound knowledge in structural biology (X-ray or Cryo-EM) ​
- Hands-on mentality with a problem-solving mindset and attention to details ​
- Great interest in scientific project management ​
- Experience with industry-standard operational management tools such as LIMS systems ​
