Responsible AI Manager Defense/Law Enforcement (m/f/d)

As AI adoption increases, the challenge in the next decade is to harness AI safety with the appropriate levels of governance and assurance to build trust in these advanced algorithmic systems. Most organizations do not have the capability to do this and we are a new AI assurance venture that provides services to validate AI systems for accuracy, robustness, explainability, fairness, privacy and security. 

We are looking for a seasoned program manager to be based in Munich, with deep roots and experience in the defense and law enforcement sector. Together with a category-defining AI assurance venture team and internal senior stakeholders you will help organizations to solve safety and security challenges faced in deploying and operating solutions (in particular AI based) in highly sensitive and mission critical areas.  

YOU WILL 

• Shape the development of Resaro’s program management organisation in the defense, military and law enforcement sector by leading from the top.


• Work closely with our customers, federal agencies and partners to understand their needs and translate this into a project plan, ensuring explainabilty, safety and feasibility are incorporated effectively into the program.


• Engage with multiple internal and external teams to prioritise deliverables and to apply product safety and security requirements successfully and in time.


• Migate and control project and financial risks in a timely and sensetive manner.


• Determine headcount and skill matrix for specific and general program execution tasks and support recrutiment activities.


• Create and apply the business development and - relationship strategy for the defense, miliatry and law enforcement sector.

YOU HAVE  

• Proven track record as a program manager (6 - 8 years) in the defense, military, law enforcement sector or related professional service industries or a relevant postgraduate degree with at least 4 years of working experience.


• Experience in managing interdiscplinary teams within organizational wide digital transformations programs.


• Proven ability in the management of complex and large scale defence and security programs, including planning, execution, and monitoring.


• Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in responsible and robust application of AI solutions, including the ability to test product features if needed.


• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing AI development and deployment in defence, such as international humanitarian law and human rights law.


• Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and influencing decision-making.


• Understanding of international security dynamics and the role of AI in geopolitical contexts.


• A passion and interest in applied research on the safe and responsible use of AI 


• Strong problem solving skills and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including military personnel, policymakers, and industry partners.


• Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
