Arbeitsbeschreibung - Robot Navigation and Perception Engineer (m/f/d)



About the role


With our team we create a modular powerful software stack for robots in close-to-industry applications towards a multi-purpose easy-to-use industrial manufacturing assistant of the future. We mix our own developments with external software components to be up to date with the latest research results and to integrate internal innovations. 



Your Responsibilities


  • Design and implement software components, architectures and applications for AI-enhanced robotics
  • Develop applications with diverse and evolving robots and sensors
  • Participate in our agile Scrum process
  • Review and maintain our software stack
  • Stay up to date with the latest research and advancements




Essential Skills


  • Degree in robotics, computer science, electrical/mechanical engineering or similar
  • Proficiency in ROS 2, C++, CMake, Python, shell/bash, Git,
  • Hands-on experience with robot navigation and SLAM
  • ~ 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Good English, verbal and written
  • Team spirit, Knowledge sharing
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and an eagerness to learn




Beneficial Skills


  • Experience with sensor calibration and fusion
