Schichtleiter:in Produktion (w/m/x)

With our innovative technology, we turn plant leftovers of the agricultural industry into a novel sustainable biomaterial - biobased, plastic-free and compostable. A material that leaves no harmful traces. With this, we want to replace as much plastics as possible, and this is where you come in.

As a shift lead (f/m/x), you will be responsible for the practical execution of production processes in the plant and for managing the shift in our first industrial-scale production facility. In addition to the usual shift management tasks, you will tackle new challenges with your team on a daily basis. You will support your team in developing pragmatic solutions to optimize production processes and plan and coordinate the collaboration with the engineering team during production tests. You support the commissioning of our first industrial plant and are a decisive factor in its success. You will also gain important experience for the planning of further plants. These are your tasks: 

• Prioritizing the upcoming work and the specific distribution of tasks to colleagues on the shift
• Ensuring safe, economical, resource-saving and efficient production in accordance with traceless quality standards
• Planning troubleshooting and monitoring compliance with quality and safety regulations
• Carrying out risk assessments and designing operating instructions, safety concepts and processes
• Collaboration on process improvements, plant modifications and innovations
• Working closely with operations and production management, quality, engineering and product development
• Actively role modeling, ensuring and jointly developing the traceless culture and values. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and support your colleagues in the team in their personal and professional development
• Contribute to the development and implementation of training programs for the Operations Group

You will spend your working days in an innovative working environment with start-up flair at the ISI center in Buchholz i.d.N., from the end of 2024 in our new production facility in Hamburg-Harburg. You will work in a 5-shift system.

• You have completed technical vocational training (e.g. chemical technician, machine and plant operator or comparable qualification)
• You have a master or apprenticeship in chemical and pharmaceutical production professions or professional experience in a comparable position
• You have leadership experience and an interest in a modern, appreciative and participative leadership concept
• You have a hands-on mentality and enjoy finding pragmatic solutions to challenges
• You actively contribute your own ideas for plant/production optimization
• You are reliable, work independently and love to lend a hand
• You think innovatively, are open-minded, a team player and have a sense of humor
• You have a good knowledge of German (and ideally English - we are happy to support you here)
