**Job Title:** Primary German Teacher

**Responsible to:** Head of Department

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Professional Learning Responsibilities**
- Maintain current knowledge in the subject area.
- Engage in professional learning opportunities.
- Support the professional development of colleagues.
- Utilize research to improve teaching and learning.

2. **Teaching and Learning Responsibilities**
- Teach 80% of the timetable with 20% for preparation.
- Implement high standards in planning, assessment, and feedback.
- Support differentiated learning strategies.
- Create a secure and stimulating learning environment.

3. **Pastoral Responsibilities**
- Uphold pupil welfare and school's Child Protection Policy.
- Undertake class or form tutor responsibilities.
- Facilitate pupils' holistic development.

4. **Administrative Responsibilities**
- Complete administrative tasks promptly.
- Maintain professional communication with parents.

5. **Wider Professional Commitments**
- Contribute to the school's policy improvements.
- Participate in staff meetings, Parents' Evenings, and school events.
- Support extra-curricular activities, including clubs and school trips.
- Assist in examination invigilation.
