(Senior) Agile Project Manager

Working in Open Source

Backlog Management:

• Collaborate with the Product Strategy Group to ensure the product backlog aligns with the strategic vision.

• Ensure user stories are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for the development team.

Facilitation of Agile Processes:

• Organize and facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Encourage and implement continuous improvement practices within the team, leveraging retrospectives, feedback loops, and metrics to enhance processes and outcomes.

Team Support and Coordination:

• Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder the development team’s progress.

• Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team environment.

• Facilitate communication and coordination among a geographically dispersed team of mainly volunteers, ensuring everyone is aligned and working towards common objectives.

• Offer guidance and support to team members, fostering an environment of learning and professional growth.

Project Tracking and Reporting:

• Monitor project progress and performance metrics.

• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status and risks.

Stakeholder Engagement: 

• Act as a liaison between various stakeholders, including the Product development Team, Product Strategy Group, end-users, and customers, to gather requirements and address concerns.

Balancing technical Resources:

• Manage and monitor available resources

• Plan resources with a focus on topics beneficial to the product 

Tasks:

• Maintain the product backlog and ensure it is visible and accessible.

• Write and refine user stories with input from stakeholders and the development team.

• Schedule and facilitate Agile ceremonies.

• Track and report on team performance metrics.

• Identify and remove impediments or blockers faced by the team.

Your Profile

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities. 

• Proven experience managing Agile projects and leading cross-functional teams.

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or equivalent Agile certification preferred.

• Strong abilities in transforming complex requirements into clear and feasible tasks.

• Previous experiences in IT/CMS/OpenSource organisations

• New to the TYPO3 world
