Senior Art Director

The opportunity

Iris Germany is looking for a modern Senior Art Director who can combine strong conceptual thinking with hands-on execution.

You will develop ideas, shape visual worlds, present confidently to global clients and guide projects from the initial brief through production to final delivery. This role requires someone equally comfortable creating an integrated campaign, building a storyboard, leading a shoot, reviewing an edit or working directly in Adobe Creative Cloud.

You should also be curious about AI and understand how it can work alongside photography, film, design, motion, 3D and traditional production—not replace them.

What you will do

• Develop strategically grounded ideas and integrated campaigns across brand, digital, social, film, retail and content.


• Create mood boards, treatments, storyboards, layouts, key visuals and presentations.


• Present and defend creative work confidently in English and German.


• Build trusted relationships with clients and translate feedback into clear creative action.


• Lead photography and live-action productions from pre-production through post-production.


• 
  Maintain a high standard of visual craft, accuracy and brand consistency.
  


• Use AI tools for exploration, visualisation, storyboarding and hybrid production where appropriate.


• 
  Mentor junior creatives and contribute positively to the wider team.
  

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of relevant art-direction experience.


• A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, visual craft and integrated campaign work for global clients.


• 
  Experience leading photography and live-action shoots.
  


• Excellent understanding of photography, composition, lighting, typography and visual storytelling.


• Advanced skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.


• Experience with After Effects, Premiere Pro, Figma, 3D or generative AI tools is an advantage.


• 
  Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform calmly under pressure.
