You will be part of the Industrial Automation Organization at Agile Robots SE (Germany). If you are passionate about robotics, have a knack for system integration, and thrive in a dynamic environment, we invite you to join our team and play a key role in driving the success of our robot solutions. As Automation Engineer (System Integration) you’ll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems. Your expertise will bridge the gap between hardware, software, and organizational processes, ensuring seamless integration across different components. In close collaboration with Sales, Production, and the Industrial Automation team you generate new value for our customers.

Safety Compliance for Industrial Safety Policies and Procedures: Adhere to all industrial safety policies and standards (such as CE regulations). Ensure that safety considerations are integrated into system designs and implementations
Risk Assessments: Conduct hazard analyses and FMEAs (Failure Modes and Effects Analyses) for automated systems. Mitigate safety risks by implementing appropriate control measures
Comprehensive System Expertise: Provide expertise in designing, developing, analyzing, and evaluating all aspects of automation systems throughout their lifecycle. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to create cohesive robotic systems
System Understanding: Guide robotic system development by understanding how individual components work together to achieve operational goals. Balance trade-offs between performance, reliability, and safety
Feasibility Studies and Simulations: Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of automation projects. Use simulations to evaluate system performance, reliability, and safety under various operating conditions
Project Coordination and Customer Objectives: Understand overarching project objectives and coordinate efforts to achieve overall success. Align system integration with customer requirements and guide meeting project milestones and deliverables

You are fluent in English and German
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
Technical background in Automation, Automotive, or machinery industry useful
Knowledge of automation technologies, including PLCs, robotics, and sensors.
Previous experience in Hardware and AI-software solutions for automation
Proficiency in leading small technical teams for automation projects, reviewing the technical adequacy of work products, and meeting cost and schedule.
You are enthusiastic, a good communicator, highly motivated, and supportive
Available for travel up to 75%
