Senior Backend / Full Stack Software Engineer - Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js (all genders)

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Backend / Full Stack Software Engineer (m/f/d) to help drive the evolution of a fast-growing supply platform built on a modern, Kubernetes-based technology stack. You will join our Tech Supply organization and play a key role in advancing a transformative solution that automates and optimizes end-to-end purchasing and article onboarding workflows. 
Your work will directly empower internal buying teams by enabling data-driven, AI-supported decision-making. Together, we aim to streamline deal preparation, improve assessment accuracy, and unlock new insights through robust analytics and meaningful KPIs. 

Your Responsibilities

  Design, develop, and maintain the backend of our new buying solution using a state-of-the-art tech stack, primarily Java and Spring Boot. 

  
  

• 
  

  Work closely with product teams to ensure short release cycles while maintaining full ownership of the products you contribute to. 

  
  

• 
  

  Collaborate with cross-functional tech and supply teams at BestSecret, especially Buying and Business Intelligence. 

  
  

•

  Contribute to software design and architecture decisions, ensuring the solution is resilient, scalable, and aligned with buyer requirements. 

  
  

Your Qualifications 

• 
  

  5+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, including strong knowledge of event-driven architectures (Kafka) and distributed systems. 

  
  

• 
  

  Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including Unit, integration, and functional testing; CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab), Application tuning, profiling, and monitoring (ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana) 

  
  

• 
  

  Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and container orchestration, especially Kubernetes. 

  
  

• 
  

  Strong expertise in relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL. 

  
  

• 
  

  Frontend development experience, ideally with Vue.js, is a plus. 

  
  

• 
  

  Knowledge of machine learning, analytics, data science, and data lake technologies (e.g., Starburst) is a plus. 

  
  

• 
  

  Strong sense of ownership and independence, with a commitment to high-quality software, from clean code to robust application design.

  Fluent English, the primary working language across all teams.
