(Senior) Compliance Manager (Alle Geschlechter)

We are seeking a (Senior) Compliance Manager to focus on compliance, anti-money laundering and outsourcing controls in line with the company's legal and risk strategy. The (Senior) Compliance Manager will also be the internal Audit Officer and act as an interface to the Internal as well as the Annual Auditors.

As part of the Risk and Compliance team, you will drive the continuous development of the compliance management system and advise the management, particularly with regard to all relevant anti-money laundering and outsourcing risks. You will contribute to the improvement of our processes and make sure that we deliver great customer value on platforms that are reliable, secure and compliant. You will be part of a cross-functional team with high impact and visibility across the organization and the immediate opportunity to take responsibility.

This position follows a hybrid work model and requires up to three days per week in the office. We have two locations in Germany: one in the Bavarian capital of Munich, and our headquarters in Berlin. The whole company comes together once a year to celebrate our successes together.

What you will be doing:

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance policies, procedures, controls, and frameworks. Regularly review and update these to align with regulatory changes and industry best practices
• Advice the management on anti-money laundering (AML) and outsourcing controlling matters to support Qwist’s Legal & Risk strategy
• Own the Know your Business (KYB) process regarding our new customers and advice internal teams on the correct execution of the KYB process
• Execute the controls of the AML-framework and operate our daily transaction monitoring in close collaboration with our external AML-Officer
• Support Qwist’s (Material) Outsourcing Risk Assessment, Exit Strategies and Monitoring including reporting on an annual basis
• Manage the execution of Internal and External Audits including the reporting of audit results 
• Take care of the company's reporting duties towards the BaFin and the BuBa through the notification and reporting system (Anzeige- und Meldewesen)
• Carry out the necessary annual training and information events for Qwist employees

 
What you bring to the team:

• Education: University degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Law preferred or a comparable field of study
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in the Compliance and AML sector
• Result-driven: You strive to work in a scale-up environment, and it is in your nature to find pragmatic solutions
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills in German and English.  
• Experience gained in a Fintech company, Financial Institute or Audit company is a plus.
