Senior Data Scientist / Developer (w/m/d) - Index Specialist

Your tasks:

You are responsible for the technical implementation and integration of international commodity indices. As part of the Market Data team, you will work with our Index Solution Specialist to implement the requirements for new indices and integrate them into the software design. You will analyze existing index calculation processes in order to optimize them and ensure quality.

Working with cloud services, GitHub, and Jira will be part of your daily business. The implementation of a monitoring system to ensure the quality of the data will round off your responsibilities.

Your skills:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant field as well as already experience in coding with Python 


• Practical knowledge with Cloud infrastructure (e.g. GCP ecosystem) incl. proficient in writing and reading SQL (BigQuery)


• Experience with Jira, GitHub and workflows


• You can communicate excellently in Business English as well as in German on intermediate level


• Ideally expertise in indices, exchange or banking environment 


• Languages like Node.js, Go, Java, .NET, Ruby, PHP will be an advantage
