Location: Munich, Germany
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time, indefinite term
Salary Range: € 88.000 - 115.000 per year gross depending on the seniority level

Research, develop, and adapt algorithms that unlock the capacity in the energy system through optimized returns in trading the flexibility of our assets
Create data science solutions that solve business challenges through well engineered, elegant technical answers (focus on software)
Advance our product development roadmap and help scaling our solutions to further applications expanding the reach of our solution
Foster technical excellence, drive best practices contribute to our open, data driven engineering culture
Building, iterating, deploying and maintaining code from scratch to excellence

Mandatory Requirements

University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields, with focus on data science, optimization or scientific computing
3+ years industry experience in applied data science, preferably in the energy or financial sectors.
Proficiency in software development and software practices (e.g. testing, code quality, monitoring), with strong expertise in Python
Proven experience in solving real world problems with data science methods, mathematical optimization, or scientific computing, delivering value in production
Proven record of mentoring junior data scientists, leading them to contribute to the organization’s financial performance
Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
You enjoy solving problems and sparring ideas in a cross-functional team with our battery engineers, software engineers, product managers and business developers

Skills to Set You Apart

Experience in time series data processing and data analysis
Experience in bringing complex algorithms into production
Experience in Machine Learning
Experience working with AWS
Work experience in the energy industry, particularly in energy trading or similar fields

I joined Entrix in August 2024. My mission is to build a world-class team of Data Scientists that solves some of the most challenging data science problems we face today, ultimately contributing to save the planet, one Megawatt at a time.
Before joining Entrix, I worked at Meta, eBay, Yahoo! and BMW, always with a focus on Machine Learning and big data, and on solving real-world problems, be that improving search engines’ algorithms, building autonomous driving vehicles or fine tuning Large Language Models.

I love Entrix because it enables me to combine my passion for data and algorithms with my commitment to save the environment, by working on projects that are at the forefront of the energy transition, machine learning and data science.
