Arbeitsbeschreibung - Senior Functional Safety Developer (m/f/d)

Your role

Work on the development, design, and maintenance of safety-critical software components for robotic systems Implement complex features, resolve critical defects, and ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and development processes
Deploy and validate software on safety-sensitive robotic platforms and support integration and system testing
Perform root cause analysis for system-level failures and drive corrective and preventive actions
Identify technical and safety risks early and drive mitigation strategies throughout the development lifecycle
Mentor and support other engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions
Contribute to hazard analyses, safety assessments, and certification activities where applicable

Your experience and qualifications

University degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or comparable field (or equivalent professional experience)
5+ years of professional experience developing software in modern C++ • Experience developing safety-critical software systems is a plus
Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 13849, ISO 10218, or similar) and code standards like MISRA
Experience developing under Linux
Experience with embedded platforms and/or real-time systems is highly desirable
Good English communication skills; German is a plus
