Your mission

You drive strategic operations projects in close interaction with our VP Operations and the cylib Executive Team including the following tasks:

You will set up key management, governance & controlling systems for cylib (e.g., technology industrialization process, shopfloor management).
You drive key operations initiatives (e.g. improvement of operational excellence in our pilot line).
You will develop cylib operations strategy (future hub & spoke footprint, make-or-buy, value chain positioning).
You support strategic business development from operations perspective (e.g., operations Due Diligence in M&A context).
You are responsible for preparing key external and internal events together with the VP operations.

Your profile

You have a degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical, chemical, industrial), physics, informatics or similar.
You are equipped with a strong consulting toolkit (e.g. slide writing, storytelling, Excel modeling) which you could already prove in 2-5 years of work experience in strategy / operations consulting, corporate strategy or in a start-up context.
You have a track record of excellent performance in academia and industry.
You enjoy working in a dynamic environment with high management exposure, and going the extra mile is a matter of course for you.
Your profile is completed by proficient language skills in German and English (written and spoken).

About us

cylib is a research-based German scaleup for holistic battery recycling - starting from discharging to recovery of all components of the lithium battery - that was founded in Aachen in 2022 by three visionary founders, including a female CEO.

Our process

The cylib process offers a complete end-to-end process from battery pack to green battery material by employing a combination of mechanical and thermal pre-treatments and an innovative water-based lithium and graphite recovery. Unlike incumbents, cylib can therefore recover battery materials such as lithium, graphite or manganese. The process was developed over several years of research at the renown RWTH Aachen University and offers an efficient, resource- and climate friendly recovery of all battery materials from end-of-life batteries.

cylib's technology enables the recovery of all battery components regardless of whether it is an end-of-life battery or not. Recovery of green secondary raw materials from the cylib process enables the realization of the true Circular Economy on the European market.
