We’re looking for a Senior People Partner to join us on a 12-month parental leave cover contract. In this role, you’ll act as a trusted adviser, coach, and culture champion, partnering closely with leaders across the business and driving forward critical people initiatives for our global teams.
Who we're looking for
5+ years of experience as a People Partner or HR Business Partner in fast-paced, international environments
Strong expertise in German labor law and employee relations. UK/US/Finland experience is a plus
Proven ability to coach leaders at all levels and Experience shaping inclusive, high-performing cultures – especially in hybrid/remote teams.
Confidence working with HR systems (e.g. Personio) and making data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication in English and German, emotional intelligence, and sound judgement.
A hands-on, proactive approach and passion for supporting people throughout their growth journey
For this role, you must be based in Hamburg, Germany. Office attendance, at least once a week (twice during our monthly allhands week), preferably more often, is required.
Your tasks
In this strategic and hands-on role (12-month parental leave cover), you’ll report to our Chief People & Culture Officer and help shape the future of our People & Culture team. Your focus:
People Partnering & Coaching: Trusted advisor to leaders on all people matters – from org development and workforce planning to performance and career growth
Employee Relations & Compliance: Handle complex employee relations issues with a strong grasp of German labor law, supported by internal/external counsel as needed
Culture & Engagement: Promote an inclusive, collaborative culture and design initiatives to drive engagement and retention
Talent & Organisational Development: Lead key initiatives like succession planning, development programs, and performance enablement.
HR Data & Processes: Use data to generate insights and continuously improve the employee experience
Projects & Team Leadership: Drive cross-functional HR projects in collaboration with People Ops and Talent Acquisition. Lead and develop a People Operations Specialist
