Senior Project Controller

This on‑site role offers an opportunity for an experienced project controller to take ownership of complex commercial and cost control activities within major engineering projects. Client Overview
Our client is a leading international engineering and consultancy organisation delivering multidisciplinary projects across sectors including energy, infrastructure and technology.

Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver clear commercial project status reports.
Manage forecasts, budgets and financial plans across multiple projects.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date project cost plans.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and financial improvement.
Oversee bank guarantees, securities and financial documentation.
Monitor and analyse project costs, revenues and cash flow.
Review and approve invoices and procurement activities.
Support contract negotiation through financial and commercial assessment.
Evaluate and monitor financial and cost‑related project risks.
Collaborate with project stakeholders and prepare cost performance reports.
Support year‑end and accrual processes, improving systems and tools for continuous enhancement.

Must‑have Requirements
Proven experience in project cost control or commercial management.
Strong financial analysis and forecasting skills.
Understanding of project contracts, risk and budget principles.
Proficiency in ERP or financial planning systems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination ability.
Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice‑to‑have Skills
Experience in consulting or engineering project environments.
Familiarity with German financial regulations or industry standards.
Knowledge of SAP or similar cost‑control frameworks.
