Role Summary


We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Sales & Business Development Executive to drive our market expansion efforts based in Europe. The role is critical to establishing and growing Nexxiot’s presence with maritime and intermodal logistics operators in and beyond top-tier strategic accounts. Ideal candidates will thrive in a high-growth, international environment and demonstrate the ability to close complex, high-value deals.


 


Key Responsibilities



  • Market and Business Development

    • Grow Nexxiot’s presence in greenfield or underpenetrated market segments

    • Target key maritime and logistics players (e.g., shipping lines, intermodal operators).

    • Define regional channel strategies, recruit partners, and manage performance.

    • Build credibility with key stakeholders and convert relationships into commercial outcomes with the objective to achieve a Total Contract Value (TCV) of at least USD 100 million within 24 months.





  • Sales Execution

    • Drive the complete sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure.

    • Tailor compelling value propositions leveraging Nexxiot’s IoT technology.

    • Develop creative deal structures and explore co-investments or partnerships where applicable.

    • Maintain high standards in CRM usage (e.g., Pipedrive) for tracking pipeline, activity, and reporting.



  • Collaboration & Communication

    • Work closely with the global maritime and logistics sales team and cross-functional stakeholders.

    • Share market intelligence, deal learnings, and customer insights to refine strategy.

    • Contribute actively to a collaborative, transparent, and feedback-driven team culture.





  • Industry & Technology Insight

    • Stay up to date on trends, regulations, and innovations in maritime logistics and IoT.

    • Represent Nexxiot at conferences, webinars, and industry forums.

    • Translate complex technical features into clear business benefits.




 


Qualifications



  • Industry Knowledge

    • Strong experience in the maritime/logistics industry with a deep understanding of commercial and operational drivers.

    • Established network within target sectors and proven access to executive-level decision-makers.





  • Sales & Deal-Making Expertise

    • Proven track record of closing multi-million dollar enterprise deals as well as smaller fast-track opportunities.

    • Expertise in structuring complex transactions and long sales cycles.

    • Experience with sales pipeline management tools and KPI tracking.





  • Technology Acumen

    • Understanding of IoT, SaaS, and data-driven technologies in logistics is preferred.

    • Ability to contextualize technology into actionable business use cases.





  • Personal Attributes

    • High-energy self-starter capable of working independently in a remote and international setup.

    • Strong communication and presentation skills in English and additional languages are a strong plus.

    • Creative, adaptable, and resilient in navigating dynamic environments.





  • Success Metrics

    • Delivery of revenue and contract value targets.

    • Channel partner performance and contribution to market coverage.

    • CRM accuracy and transparency in reporting.

    • Strategic account and pipeline development.

    • Peer recognition for collaboration, insights, and initiative.
