YOUR IMPACT
Proxima Fusion’s simulation-first approach will be defined by the software infrastructure and tools enabling it. Our challenge is to build software enabling exploration of the vast hyper-dimensional space of stellarator design in order to maximise feasibility and minimise cost.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Understanding the goals and challenges of our simulation and design teams.
- Developing the infrastructure and tools that support our simulation and data-driven approach.
- Contributing and reviewing code across our full simulation and analysis stack.
- Defining and implementing cross-org software engineering best practices, development and deployment tools.
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
WHO YOU ARE
- An experienced engineer with a strong foundation in computer science, engineering or a related field.
- Proficient in at least two of Python, C++, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Experienced with the development and management of data infrastructure and processing pipelines in large-scale cloud environments.
- Experienced in end-to-end/full-stack system design, ideally within an environment supporting physics, engineering, or AI teams.
- Driven to solve complex problems with simple solutions and a desire to contribute to clean energy.
