Arbeitsbeschreibung - Senior Software Engineer (m/f/x) // (B2B Contractor)

The Role

As an early-stage engineer, you will be working on many different aspects of Hakuna's products and Hakuna's engineering culture. Your role will encompass all of product development; from architecture and design to development and operations.

Your focus will be on moving fast, shipping and getting feedback, and iterating on ideas that improve Hakuna's products. You will be contributing to shaping our engineering culture and the future of our company.

Your responsibilities

You will take ownership of projects end-to-end, and be involved in all phases of development (i.e., architecture, design, implementation, and operation)
You will collaborate with team members and other departments to refine product features and brainstorm ideas
You will contribute to all of Hakuna's products and be part of an innovative embedded insurance application
You will develop and maintain code that meets our standards and best practices for a high-scale web environment

Your profile

You have at least 4 years of experience with web development in a commercial environment
You have experience with Javascript and/or Typescript, AWS serverless, React, and NodeJS
You have strong technical skills and an ability to work across backend, frontend, and infrastructure
You have a desire to work independently with a broad scope of ownership and a high degree of autonomy
You have a background in building distributed scalable services
You are comfortable making trade-offs between quality and delivery speed
You have effective communication skills, and a positive and solution-oriented mindset
