Arbeitsbeschreibung - Senior Test Automation Engineer

We’re looking for a dynamic, solution-oriented professional to join our International Mail & Parcels Cluster. In this role, you’ll help bring our digital initiatives to life, driving innovation and value creation for Swiss Post customers around the globe. What you can do
− Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and maintainable automated test cases using Robot Framework (as a preferred choice) or Selenium
− Design, implement, and manage test scripts using Python. A basic knowledge of Java can be considered as a plus
− Monitor and troubleshoot test executions and pipeline issues
− Responsible of the planning, design, execution, and reporting of tests to ensure that software meets quality standards
− Create and maintain version-controlled test repositories using Git.
− Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and improve testability of requirements.
− Responsible for coordinating regression, system, and end-to-end tests; report and follow up on defects.
− Work with the Swiss Post Competence Center Testing to implement and promote organizational best practices in testing
− Ensure clear documentation of test processes, execution reports, and coverage metrics
− Evaluating Test Automation tools in collaboration with Test Competence Center and DevOps TeamWhat you bring with you
− You have more then 5 years of proven experience in automation testing.
− Strong background in test automation with tools like Robot Framework, Selenium or equivalent tools.
− Proficiency in Git for managing version control.
− Solid understanding of test automation principles, SDLC, and QA methodologies.
− ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent knowledge.
− Experience working in agile development environments (Scrum/Kanban).
− Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in debugging test automation and CI issues.
− Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written) for discussing and presenting work to Businesspeople from non-technical backgrounds.
− Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira Xray)
− Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes, performance testing, or API testing tools
− Familiarity with design patterns such as Page Object Model (nice to have)

Education
− You have completed a higher degree in computer science or business informatics (university of applied sciences).

Language skills
− English oral and written
− Optional: German/French/Italian oral (and written)
