Software Engineer

Our mission is to build the strategic twin of organizations. We are seeking a Software Engineer working side by side with our CTO, taking on full-stack responsibility. In this role, you will take key ownership of building intuitive, powerful tech that makes system-level interdependencies usable and scalable. As a key contributor, you will split critical work in code, architecture, and deployment with Erik. Responsibilities

• Design and develop core components alongside the CTO of the modelling toolbox and its computation engine in the full stack
• Own a proactive role in drafting and implementing software architecture, computational logic, and scalable infrastructure
• Model graphs and ontologies to capture complex relationships and build structures that translate abstract domains into clear data models
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code on top of what AI cannot deliver
• Prototype fast and smart, testing, learning, and delivering between AI and UX
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices
• Troubleshoot and debug system issues to ensure high availability and performance
• Collaborate with the founding team to consistently translate the big picture into outcomes 

• 5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in a founding or startup environment
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript and SQL
• Solid experience with frameworks such as Solid.js and LangChain
• Experience with graph databases and ontology modeling
• Experience with cloud-based technologies and architecture
• Solid experience in the abilities and the boundaries of AI, the use of language models, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation is a big plus
• Advanced understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is appreciated
• You must speak English at level C1 or higher
• You must speak German at level C1 or higher
• You already live or are willing to relocate to Cologne, Germany
