Tasks
Your mission
You help companies in our customer base rethink procurement from the ground up,
building sourcing that runs on data, structure, and modern tools rather than habit. As Sourcing Manager, you're the engine behind that service. You take customer requirements and turn them into searches that deliver, you run the Sourcevise tool better than almost anyone, and the evaluations you produce actually move decisions. You own the whole arc, from the first request to a customer who's genuinely convinced.
Your responsibilities
- Turn requirements into results: you take on customer requirements and shape them into clear, reliable sourcing searches.
- Run searches start to finish: you own the full sourcing process in our tool, from supplier research through to a structured evaluation.
- Own customer success: you're the main point of contact, often talking directly to leadership or C-level stakeholders such as a Chief Procurement Officer or Head of Procurement, and you make sure every search delivers real value for the customer.
- Push processes to be AI-first: you help shape how sourcing works internally, thinking through what AI can take on at every step from day one.
- Turn what you know into product value: you share what you learn on the ground so customers running the tool themselves benefit from it too.
Requirements
What you bring
- Some early experience in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing, whether from internships, a working student role, or your first year or two on the job, ideally with an interest in a relevant category such as technical components.
- A knack for customers: you listen, get to the real requirement, and can explain results in plain language.
- An eye for detail and the discipline to handle data, specifications, and evaluations carefully.
- A head for numbers: turning quotes and figures into a clear structure is something you actually enjoy.
- A hands-on, ownership-driven attitude, combined with a genuine willingness to learn and question your own approach.
- Fluent German and solid English.
- A natural pull toward digital tools and AI-assisted ways of working.
- The ability to bridge modern technology and the more traditional world of the German Mittelstand.
