BitBurst, a Prodege, LLC company, is a market research company that uses technology to connect people with surveys and provide real-time insights for industries. The company uses its own panels and those of third parties to conduct research and connect targeted audiences with market research globally. BitBurst also offers apps that provide rewarded surveys and other tasks for money, such as gift cards or micro payments.

Primary Objectives:

• Build and scale modern full-stack product experiences that are performant, reliable, and maintainable across web applications and supporting services.

• Translate architectural direction into high-quality execution by designing and implementing distributed systems aligned to enterprise standards and long-term platform strategy.

• Advance microservices and event-driven architecture to improve system scalability, decoupling, and speed of iteration.

• Ensure data integrity and performance at scale through strong relational modeling, query optimization, and disciplined data access patterns.

• Raise engineering quality and reduce technical risk through secure coding practices, code reviews, testing discipline, and strong technical documentation.

• Enable reliable delivery and operational excellence by improving CI/CD, deployment safety, observability, and performance tuning.
  Strengthen team capability and cross-functional execution by mentoring peers and collaborating effectively with Product, QA, DevOps, and Infrastructure.

Detailed Job Duties: 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using NodeJS and modern frontend technologies (preferrable NuxtJS/Vue)

• Architect and implement distributed microservices systems aligned with enterprise architecture standards

• Design and optimize relational database structures to ensure performance, consistency, and scalability

• Participate in system architecture planning, design reviews, and technical governance processes

• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and compliance requirements

• Conduct peer code reviews and provide mentorship to engineering team members

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams

• Identify system bottlenecks and implement performance improvements

• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

• Produce technical documentation for systems, APIs, and architecture decisions

The MUST Haves:

• Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; 

• Experience: 

  • Four or more (4+) years of experience in a full-stack or related role with a strong focus on NodeJS and Frontend Technologies (VueJS/Nuxt, or similar).

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in relational database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)

  • Demonstrated experience designing microservice architectures

  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture

  • Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker; Kubernetes preferred)

  • Proficiency with Git-based version control workflows

• Problem-Solving: 

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues.

• Communication: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Nice to Haves:

• Experience with large-scale distributed systems

• Knowledge of event sourcing and CQRS patterns

• Experience with Cloudflare and Cloudflare Workers

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent)

• Familiarity with observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)

• Experience working in regulated or enterprise compliance environments

• Prior experience in mentoring or technical leadership roles

• Usage of AI (Github Copilot/Claude Code, etc.)
