Job Description:

Sr. HR Operations Specialist (f/m/d)

Location: Karlsruhe (Keystone Photonics)
Working model: Hybrid

Your mission

As an HR Operations Specialist (f/m/d), you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and compliant HR operations throughout the employee lifecycle.

The position is based at Keystone Photonics in Karlsruhe. While being embedded in the local organization, you will report functionally to the Head of HR at FormFactor in Thiendorf and work in close collaboration with the central HR team.

In this role, you will act as the local HR Operations representative for Keystone Photonics within the EMEA region, serving as the on‑site point of contact for employees and managers and ensuring alignment with FormFactor’s global HR standards, systems, and processes.

Your tasks

HR Operations & Administration

• End‑to‑end support of HR processes across the employee lifecycle
• Maintenance of employee master data and HR systems (HRIS / Workday)
• Support of payroll preparation including data validation, changes reporting and coordination with internal and external partners (no own payroll execution)
• Preparation of employment contracts, contract amendments, and HR documentation
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and local labor law requirements
• Creation and maintenance of HR reports, dashboards, and KPIs
• Close collaboration with the EMEA and global HR teams to harmonize and continuously improve HR processes

On‑site HR Support

• Acting as the local HR contact for employees and managers at the Karlsruhe site
• Supporting onboarding activities and employee related inquiries
• Occasional support of on‑site interviews, coordinating logistics and participating as an HR representative in collaboration with hiring managers and the central HR team

What you should bring with us

• Completed degree with a focus on human resources, business administration, or a comparable qualification (e.g. commercial training with HR focus)
• Initial professional experience in HR Operations / People Operations, ideally covering administrative HR processes across the employee lifecycle
• Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to working with HR data, processes, and systems
• Confident use of MS Office 365 and HR systems (e.g. Workday or comparable HRIS)
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with local and international HR stakeholders
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a high level of discretion when handling sensitive employee matters
• Hands‑on mentality and willingness to support on‑site HR topics, including occasional participation in local interviews as an HR representative
•  Very good written and spoken German and good written and spoken English
• Willingness to travel for regular on‑site alignment meetings in Thiendorf and to work closely with the central HR team there
