Why We’re Different?

We’ve developed a breakthrough hydrolizer for acid/base regeneration, enabling scalable CO₂ capture. With partners like Frontier Climate, Stripe, and Shopify, we’re on track to make a global impact.

Our Project Dawn is our flagship initiative, setting the foundation to scale our technology and remove CO₂ from the atmosphere. We're one of the only seven DAC companies with a proven offtake agreement. Phlair is poised to become a technology leader, leveraging renewable energy and low-cost DAC to provide clean energy solutions that go beyond carbon removal.

Your Mission at Phlair

• Test Plan Development: Collaborate with our CSO Steffen to design and execute tests for evaluating the functionality and compliance of our electrochemical stack for our 260 tCO2/year DAC demonstrator.

• Collaborate: Work with the team to develop internal and external test setups.

• Infrastructure Setup & Maintenance: Set up and maintain the test infrastructure, with a focus on quality assurance and reliability. Electrical wiring qualifications are a plus.

• Data Analysis: Analyze test data and communicate key results to the development team.

• Adapt & Innovate: In the fast-paced startup world, your ability to adapt to an evolving environment and quickly pivot will be crucial. You’ll work autonomously, learn on the go, and contribute to shaping a new sector.

What You Bring to the Team

• Education: M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.

• Testing Experience: Experience designing and conducting test protocols.

• Electrochemical Testing: Familiarity with cell stack testing - fuel cells, electrolysers, flow batteries, electrodialysers or similar.

• Data Skills: Strong in data analysis and presenting results clearly.

Essential Traits

• Methodical & Detail-Oriented: You work carefully and focus on the details.

• Troubleshooter: You identify issues and maintain test stands.

Great to have, but optional

• Test Automation: Basic scripting knowledge (LabVIEW, Matlab, Python, R-Studio).

• Electronics Qualification: Formal qualification in electronics for high-voltage DC/AC

How we work at Phlair

• Onsite & Collaborative: Our offices in Ismaning, Germany, house our pilot plant, where we work physically on our product every day. The team collaborates closely in the office, five days a week.

• Main Hub & Expansion: Our primary location is in Munich (Ismaning), Germany, and we’re launching our Canada team in 2026.
