Arbeitsbeschreibung - Studentische Hilfskraft (w/m/d) LS Organizational Behavior
At the Chair of Organizational Behavior, we deal with the question of how top managers can lead effectively in difficult situations. This includes leadership in extreme situations such as crises and scandals, but also leadership in the everyday context of VUCA, transformation and disruptive change. On the one hand, our research aims to be published in top international journals. On the other hand, the practical implementation of our research findings in business practice is important to us. To this end, we work on new and innovative research questions in international research groups with leading scientists from all over the world. At the same time, however, we also work with business practitioners to ensure the practical relevance of our work. In this way, we combine theoretical and practical recommendations for action in order to contribute to research, business and society at the same time.
The position is a ‘mini-job’ and is limited in time (with option of extension). In an increasingly complex world with global challenges such as climate change, geopolitical crises, and social inequality, responsible leadership is becoming ever more important - not only in politics but also in business. Nevertheless, many managers are inadequately prepared for ethical, social, and ecological issues. This is why there is a growing call for training that not only prepares leaders professionally but also in a value-oriented way. A look at medical training shows how this can work. In a recent study conducted by the Chair, we identified specific practices for values-based identity formation during medical training. These findings form the starting point for our project, in which we want to find out to what extent the best practices from medical education can be transferred to business schools. The aim is to create new approaches for the development of a responsible leadership identity - with practical and effective teaching methods that better prepare tomorrow's leaders for the real world.
