Team Leader BIOLOGICS (gn)

- Provision of scientific and technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams to achieve corporate goals for challenging research projects within biologics early drug development 
- Establishing and managing research projects as project scientist as well as scientific project manager 
- Development, execution and optimization of protein productions for downstream applications (fit-for-purpose) 
- Characterization and evaluation of drug candidates by state of the art biochemical and biophysical methods 
- Evaluation of new technology/ equipment to constantly improve biologics platform 
- Preparation of all relevant project documentation (i.e. project plans, SOPs, scientific presentations, technical reports), their review and training 
- Presentation of the scientific results as well as convincing and confident communication of the content to colleagues, customers and business partners- PhD in biochemistry or related field with an excellent proven track record 
- A minimum of 2 years working experience in the pharmaceutical industry with regard to the development of protein therapeutics in terms of ICH Q10 
- Good acquaintance with transient protein expression in mammalian cell culture, purification process optimization and in-depth physicochemical characterization (i.e. using HPLC methods) of antibody-based candidates 
- Experience with non-antibody based biologics as asset 
- Hands-on mentality with a problem-solving mindset and attention to details
