Arbeitsbeschreibung - Team Leader (gn) Mass Spectrometry

Provision of scientific and technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams to achieve corporate goals for challenging research projects within the field of protein mass spectrometry
Development, execution and optimization of mass spectrometry workflows (e.g. intact mass, peptide mapping, PTM analysis)
Leading a small team of scientists and research associates
Scientific and technical troubleshooting as well as maintenance of HPLC and MS devices
Continuous improvement of laboratory processes as well as evaluation of alternative technologies/equipment when expanding the range of MS method spectrum
Preparation of all relevant project documentation (i.e. SOPs, technical reports, project plans, scientific presentations), their review and training
Presentation of the scientific results as well as convincing and confident communication of the content to colleagues, customers and business partners

PhD in the field of (bio-)analytical chemistry, biochemistry or related with an excellent proven track record
A minimum of 2 years working experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Profound knowledge in the field of mass spectrometry of proteins (method development, practical implementation and data evaluation)
Experience in leading a team of scientists/analysts in a dynamic environment
Hands-on mentality with a problem-solving mindset and attention to details
Independent, service-oriented way of working, with an outstanding team spirit and excellent organization and communication skills
